Year Round Opportunities

Program Opportunities

The best part of summer camp has always been access to all of this Scouting program in one location. A brand new focus includes bringing some of this spectacular program to Scouts year round. As this is a developing program, so is our information, but stay tuned here as we are able to share more about these growing opportunities. The goal is to tap council wide volunteer resources to employ Bear Paw's unique facilities for year round programs. Many programs are already in place and awaiting your units participation.

Active and planned programs include:

Campmaster Program

The Campmaster Program is designed to bring adult volunteers and their talents into camp on the weekends to provide support for the Camp Ranger and provide program opportunities for scout troops. The most basic responsibility of Campmasters is to provide camp security, check units in and out, and be available for emergencies. However, the best role of our Campmaster program is to share their skills to provide program opportunities for visiting Scouts. Learn more about this unique opportunity.

Short Term Camping Reservations

Outside the summer camp season, buildings and campsites at Bear Paw are available for unit camping. Registered Scout units may reserve buildings for a two night stay. Each unit must provide its own leadership for their stay. Reservations may be made at the Bay-Lakes Council Center for Scouting.

Reservations for short term camping will be accepted in this order.
