Camp Commissioners
Your camp commissioner is your special agent for everything. It is your commissioner's job
to do everything they can to make your stay at camp the best it possibly can be.
Sunday you will meet your commissioner and from that point on he will be your encyclopedia
for all things Bear Paw. Use your commissioner as the ultimate camp resource. He can connect you with the
people and places that make camp go.
Here are just some ideas
- You want to take your troop on an overnight hike. Your commissioner can help arrange
a meal, check out quartermaster equipment, and give you a map. Usually he is dying to
be asked to join you.
- Some scouts in your Troop need service project time. Your commissioner can find the
projects that will best help keep camp beautiful and get your boys some quality work.
- You are trying to cook a special nighttime snack. Your commissioner can order you
some special goodies from the commissary.
- You have a great program idea but don't know how we could use it at camp. Your commissioner
can help.
Be sure to ask your commissioner about....
- Troop Time Activities
- Adult Leader Aquatics Programs
- Coffee with the Camp Director
- Leader/Staff activities
While at camp be sure to put your commissioner to work. During the week your commissioner may be
found providing leader training, participating in adult leader discussions, and partaking in
in good old fashioned leader fun.
