[edit] Editing Help
WikiBPSC is powered by the MediaWiki, one of the most powerful and common engines for user driven content such as this. MediaWiki is the engine that runs the popular site Wikipedia Much of the help you will need editing has been created and maintained by other WikiMedia users.

[edit] Submitting Photos
Photos and other images can be added at any time to WikiBPSC. WikiBPSC has several image galleries waiting for your contribution. At this time there is no limit to image size, but you are suggested to only place images that are as large as needed to function on the web. You can submit by placing an image into an existing file where one is wanted or you can upload any image to place in any article or photo gallery.
[edit] Submitting a Staff Photo
Within each year's article there is a space for a camp staff portrait from that summer. Where we have no photo for our collection, there is a red link showing a wanted photo. If you have a staff portrait to add...here are some basic instructions.
- Staff Photo originals should be about 2000 pixels wide or better. If the photo is too small, we will be unable to see faces. (BPSC online also uses these photos in our Staff Database project)
- If you place your photo on a bed scanner, set the scanner to 300 dpi (dots per inch) to get an adequate sized file. If your staff portrait is smaller than 8x10 choose 600dpi.
- Feel free to submit your photo and post it by clicking on the red link. We will likely use our tools to crop and make it more suitable for our use.
[edit] Submitting any other Photos
- Scan prints into your computer scanner at 300 dpi.
- Upload photos at an appropriate size for display. Check other similar photos to see if it will work.
- Simply click on the Upload File link in the Toolbox on the right. The computer will help you name and find your file.
