Boy Scout Resident Camp was held at Bear Paw from 20 June to 14 August in 1999.
The 1999 conversion of Camp Rokilio in Kiel, Wisconsin into a full time Cub Scout Resident Camp brought an increased demand for Boy Scout camping opportunities at Bear Paw. 1999 brought the immediate return of the long absent eight week schedule and the end of the Independence Day break. It also inspired a series of physical changes including a waterfront expansion, construction of a new Shooting Sports Area in 2000 and the new Bay-Lakes Dining Hall of 2001.
