Boy Scout Resident Camp was held at Bear Paw from June to August in 1960.
Construction of the John M. Walter Memorial Chapel began in the spring of 1960. After the 1946 season, Troop Site 2 was relocated and the space on "Cathedral Point" reserved for construction of a future chapel, but construction would wait 13 years. With the help of civic donors from Green Bay, the John M. Walter Memorial Chapel was dedicated in a small ceremony on September 18, 1960.
